This novel is written in the 50's but takes you to a unique place that is very seldom written about, Latin America. The author describes tragic historic events, he is unafraid to hit on controversial topics of race, class and religion and yet, he is still able to make it a great unpredictable story! Nothing like a textbook. You’ll connect with the characters, lament about their fates and ultimately wonder what will happen next to Connor Caine."
